I'M
NOT A PERFECT PERSON
This
movie I'm working on is called "Hairy Tale" and it stars
Matthew Modine and Roma Downey (I can't be the only one who wants
to call her Roma Downey Junior), and Matthew Modine now looks like
a barely younger, equally weathered version of Robert Redford, and
our friend Roma has had some serious, serious plastic surgery. So
yesterday I did what I always do when I suspect someone's had a
facelift -- I google them to get all the dirt. And the chain of
messages about Roma's face on the Touched By An Angel bulletin board
made my day.

hey I feel like such a cow asking this because i love and respect
roma downey soo much but i just had to ask....her face dramatically
changed during the 6-7th season.I heard mutters about plastic surgery
but I dont want to get the wrong idea.Can anyone clear this up for

Well, to be honest, she did have a few operations over the years,
but that's all I'll speak of this. It's not really appropriate to
discuss her personal matters over a message board, or anywhere else,
considering they don't involve us. God bless you! Love always in

hey sorry i feel horrible for even asking that now.Its none of my
business and its not fair to gossip about her when shes such an
awesome person.I regret asking and I feeel extrememly shallow for

Aw, don't worry about it! Everyone has a tendancy to make mistakes,
because after all, we are humans. But you can learn from this mistake,
just as you can learn from everyone you make. God bless you! Love

Thankyou so much. Im glad I had this with you because i will now
be a lot slower to judge people.I guess everyone thinks its ok to
ask things about famous peoples private affairs but really she is
a normal person and deserves the same respect I would treat others
with. Now when my friends(who arent fans i may add) say "ew has
shge had plastic surgery!"I will remember the respect you treatyed
her with and try and apply it to myslelf. thankyou for this revelation
I guess every day is just another lesson to help you bacome a better

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking. It is quite clear
that Roma's appearance changed during the course of the show. We
can't help but notice, so the changes themselves are rather "public".
"Why" or "how" would be private. But, I think you put your finger
on it: judging someone for whether they have or have not altered
their appearance is quite a different matter, and isn't very kind.
Personally, I would say that appearance alterations -- including
things as simple as hairstyles -- aren't what really matter. They
dont affect anyone's talent as an actress, and they don't affect
anyone's character as a person. That's just my personal opinion,
but I feel it's basically in keeping with the general tone of the
show -- especially tolerance and kindness.

You three have made great points!!! That was so sweet what you all
said about the person inside, I just had to post something to say
thank you. I too will try harder not to judge people, I've been
working on that lately. Every time I think...Oh that outift makes
them look fat, or I wish they would change their haircut I stop
myself. I wouldn't want to be judged and have people hate me because
I have braces, or because I wear the same pants almost every day.
(lol!)
